Default TRAIN APPROACHING... WTF.

I have a cobra radar trapper which I was bragging about the other day. Bragging on how it could pick up 360 degrees and X..K...and Pop alerts plus Speed trap areas. Well yesterday we were drawing into Cosco supermarket car park when the lady voice on the Cobra shouted 'train approaching'. I almost wet my pants laughing. Not only was there not a train in sight, the nearest railway line is about 5 miles away from costcos car park down in Downtown Lancaster PA. Has anyone else had a very strange signal coming over their radar trapper??????????????

That's a big reason I don't have a radar detector.....I couldn't stand yet someone else watching

I'm guessing that motion sensor(s) on the building may be at a frequency close that used for train warnings. I've got a Passport, and have noticed over the years that it will occasionally err on the side of being overly cautious with certain signals.

LOL! That's why I'm on the fence with the GPS portion of the "installed" detector.

Anyway, it probably was a train 5 miles a way or less (the train doesn't have to be at the crossing for it to alert, correct)
