Default How slow of the 996 targa's Glass roof while it closing

Is it much slower than while it opening? I just see one targa in the showroom for sale, the glass roof is move very slow while its closing.
Is tat normal or its broken? The saleman said it is normal speed for the targa roof.!

It is slower closing than it is opening, especially if the car is not running.

I am looking forthe 996 taga for daily use,i live in bangkok thailand, hot summer all year long. But glass roof is not a problem for me in this hot wrather. I love the sun light through the targa roof.
But is itany problem i should consider before i buy one?

I love my targa. Best of both world in my opinion. The roof is complicated and requires maintenance, but it's nothing you can't handle. The main thing is to make sure the tracks stay lubed. The top drains down the same path as the tracks for the top. I spend a little time with a Q-tip and just make sure it stays lubricated. I only have to do this at every oil change interval. I use the top all the time I open/close it 2-3 time a day,I think that also helps it from becoming atrophied.

Anytime. If you do a search on here, there are a few threads regarding the top and it's operation.

Love my '03 Targa as well, but i don't open the top much. I need to heed the good advice and lubricate the tracks regularly...
