Had engine light and code said replace secondary injection pump which I did (thanks Lon). car ran great with no whining on start-up and no check engine light. Well after 3 days light comes back on with the following codes "1410 and 1411'. any ideas what these are? Could I have mounted wrong? The start-up and idle are perfect.Any Chance of an air leak? I changed starter 6 months ago and was always concerned of air leak
Help is appreciated.

Are they P1410 and P1411? Your ECU is a 5.2.2?

P0410 Secondary air injection system Cylinders (1 - 3) Signal Implasusible
P1411 Secondary air injection system Cylinders (4 - 6) Signal Implasusible

I'm wondering if the injection ports in the header flange are clogged?

I had the same two errors a couple of times and for me The hoses that attach to the SAI system are fragile and sometimes come loose. Also, the switch that controls the vacuum canister assembly can go bad. The system is very, easy to work on and only has a few parts. I'll try and dig up my old information for you.

I would start by checking the fuse for the secondary air pump.
Then check the that the cable is plugged into the pump. Sometimes it gets disconnected for service needs.

Dumb question. Is fuse for secondary air pump in fuse box under foot wel.? I'm wondering why when I reset the CEL it took several days for CEL to com back on? The new SAI whirs like a kitten. Can't believe the difference.

Once a battery is disconnected and then re connected the CEL takes a few days to come back on even though no work has been done on the car. Once all sensors have returned to sensing mode, the cel light will come back on the dash. Nothing much to worry about unless the CEL starts flashing. Then you have problems.

How did you reset the CEL? In any case if you reset it and then it came back on this is because you have not remedied the situation (the fault still exists). Some CELs don't register until after a number of cycles (faults) have occurred.
