Default Will Renntech close?

I hope the moderator doesn't mind this - but I just donated again to the Renntech site. Yes, it's a strictly technical problem resolution site, and much more serious than this forum, but I think it's really quite a Porsche treasure and worth way more in problem resolution than the measly $25 Loren's asking for to keep the site open.

Here's the note from Loren:

"Call for Donations - At this time donations are running at an all time low (about half of what we had at this time last year). We have almost 70,000 members now and fewer than 6 percent donate -- and without donations this site can not continue to operate.
This site is totally member supported -- so please continue to donate when you can."

I recently made a donation - encourage others who turn their own wrenches to do likewise as the Renntech site continues to be a valuable resource for anyone working on these cars.

been donating since i joined. The site is invaluable. I use both rennlist and renntech, but renntech does fill in the void of technical information. I wish it got more traffic in the way of DIY and other technical knowledge.

I don't post much, but it doesn't mean I don't read.

If you go to Renntech and get an answer to your question/problem...you should donate a buck....one dollar... $1.

If everyone did this the site would be well funded.

It's kinda sad to see less than 6 percent donate... FREE LOADERS!

Speaking of I wonder what percentage of rennlisters donate...

Cool

I would hope the owners of this site don't mind this thread. It is absolutely the right thing to do. Just think of how many thousands of posts on this site have included a link to Renntech to give the answer to a question posed here...

Mark, for as long as I can remember Rennlist and Renntech have always been sites that compliment each other.
