Granted, this is not a 996 but you get the idea. They look nice to me and really break up all that guards red that I have. The ones I got have Porsche script at the bottom. Classic look and they are easily removed...magnetic. Just wanted to share

And yes, I will take some pics when I wash the car and get a chance to post them. Anyone else with a 996 run these?

They stopped suiting 911's after the 930 IMHO.

I have never seen them on a 996. Interested in seeing the pictures.

Maybe it would look better from different angles. I think a member (farfelsc) had black ones on a blue 997 targa, looked good. Being magnetic is a plus. They'd look too busy on a 996TT, but on a 996WB would look sharp.

i think they look great espec. if your wing mirrors or splitter or rear wing are black. How strong is the magnet - have your tried 120mph+? How much/where too if you don't mind else pm please. I'm planning on running my numbers and race stickers magnetically altho obviously doens't work on the CF bits like front hood. The sticker guy can print onto this 2-3mm magnet but it doesn't feel strong enough to stay stuck.

thanks!

That's a great retro look, particularly in Guards Red.

I have a magnetic set I use when I swap to black wheels for track duty. I also have the magnetic porsche number plates. I've used them for the last 2 years and reached speeds over 135 without any issues. The combo of black wheels, stone guards and porsche racing plates look great in my opinion. Go to magnagrafik.com. They sell some unbelievable graphic packages.

I saw a silver 996 C2 with a set of those in Denver last week. They looked good.

That is where I got mine from. They actually fit pretty well and look very nice. Still have to take some pics. Was busy at the shooting range today and spending some family time. I do promise pics though.

They will not fall of, the magnet background holds them on very well. Also, nice you can take them off it you want a change. I kinda like the history look of them. Not that expensive either.
