Default Radio/SatNav/ problem

Yesterday, my radio would not come on and the screen displays "Boot Sector 3.1 PO, loader loading, insert disc." To my knowledge, that is a computer code virus of some kind. Does anybody know of a DIY way of diagnosing/fixing the issue? I assume it's not asking me to insert my SatNav disc.? Should I disconnect the battery, or pull and reinstall the fuse to that system? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated before I dive in!

Off the subject, but how do I create an avatar photo of my car on here? The trouble with photo posting/uplaoding etc..has been a frustrating ordeal ever since I became a member! It's not exactly rocket science, but certainly seems like it on Rennlist!

Thanks in advance for any help!
