Roads to drive in PA

I keep looking for a good excuse to drive back to PA and drive the rural twisty roads where I grew up in the rural areas north-west of Harrisburg. Seems like every time we go, we need to take the SUV With my luck, I'd probably end up coming around a blind corner at about triple the legal speed limit and hit a deer.
I don't think you can go anywhere in the rural Appalachians and not find a lot of great roads!

There are lots of great roads when you get on the outskirts of suburbia. Western Chester county; Northern Bucks county. Pick a destination, like New Hope, and go. Take the back roads.

Hey Ryan. What I do from Ephrata in PA is pick a spot on the map between 50 and 100 miles from me. Take the fastest route there to open the car up then before I return to HOME I pick the shortest route and the GPS takes me through all the nice twisting Amish roads. Not failed yet. It becomes a 'Mystery tour'. I love it.

Check out Routes 841, 842, 82, 926, 100, and anything else in and around. Lots and lots of delightful roadway: scenery galore, twisties and straights. Your mission--should you choose to accept it--is to find the Whip and Northbrook Orchards (not necessarily on the same day--save something for later).
All I ask is that you have a care for cyclists; that might be me that you run into a ditch!

Lived in SE PA my entire life up until 3.5 years ago when I moved to Northern DE which is a 4 minute drive from Chester County, PA.
The road that Porsche of the Main Line (Newtown Square, PA) uses for their test drives are fantastic. Lots of nice country driving with great twists & turns. They use various roads off of west chester pike (route 3) in Edgemont, PA.
I have always found that Route 52 through Chester County, PA is a nice drive also.

+1 although I would caution on 926. Lot's of pickups with horse trailers driving that route.

RPM - Take a look at the quadrant of S.E. Pa. south of Rt. 78, east of Rt. 412, and north of New Hope. This is country similar to Chester county, with a couple of covered bridges thown in as well. The Deleware river road (mostly Rt. 32) from Easton to Washington's Crossing is also nice, with views and some gastropub opportunities, especially at the southern end. Look for my black, 2000 Carrera with similar mods to yours plus a lightweight flywheel and RUF wheels romping about.

Oh God I have travelled from Reinholds through to Sinking springs on the way to Blue Marsh lake too many times to count. I was there only two days ago. I love those roads and there are just too many like those twisty roads to mention. They are ALL like that as I am sure you know.
