Default idle dipping after battery replacement?

Hey now,
Just replaced my energizer 48 series battery (700 cc) with a sealed Ever Start Maxx (730cc) from wallmart. Started her up after replacing and idle is fluttering steadily between 700 & 800 rpm's. I let her idle for a couple minutes hoping it would smooth out but no such luck.
I searched 10 pages of battery threads but found no similar issues - wtf?
thanks in advance for any ideas / suggestions.

Air oil separator? The battery change might just be coincidence.

not sure. I've put about 30 miles on it after replacing a cracked coil and changing plugs a few days ago and it's been running perfectly. 1st time starting after new battery seems like it's due to battery swap.

How far have you driven after replacing the battery? Has it had a chance to relearn everything it lost due to being disconnected? Take it for a ride.

1) Disconnect the battery again for 30 seconds.
2) Reconnect the battery.
3) Switch on ignition (don't start engine) so all the dash light illuminate for 1 minute.
4) Switch off ignition, remove key for 30 seconds.
Start car as normal - the learning curve for the DME should be complete.

The ECU is going thru throttle adaptation. It has been "reset" as you changed the battery. It is "learning" the throttle again.
