Nice shot of your Porsche Hardback. How does the 302, behind your car handle, have you driven it on the track?

Thanks...

I wish. The driver was fairly quick that day but picked up a razor blade in the pits and had to swap over to his street tires. The 302 makes a perfect track toy in my opinion. If I owned one Id lighten it as much as possible and terrorize the local track events.

I really like the look of matte black or dark gray wheels. The gloss just doesn't work for me in dark colors. Or the matte gray that Porsche painted the wheels on some of their production 911s racers back in the 70's. Very business-like.
I'm pondering doing my C2 17" twists either a very dark orange or a caramel color for my winter MS tires. On my all black car it would be something a little different.

I like my plasti-dipped wheels...

But it's true, brake dust makes them look brown, which looks like sht.

Sorry. Just one 996'r opining here, but I had to get it out.
What has been repeatedly stated here on the Rennlist forum, it is merely a matter of taste or choice

Thanks! It was worth the $10. Black wheels are all business.

I'll wait to do the suspension until I have enough track days under my belt. I'd rather work on the driver first, and then improve the car. I also scrape enough as is since adding the Cup front spoiler...

H&R Clubsports? What were you using before?

Definitely let us know how those are - I've been looking at those as a well priced and capable set up.

Agreed. It might be a generational thing. I see all of these Hondas and Toyotas with blacked-out windows and black wheels and i think, man does that look ridiculous. I saw a Cayenne last week with all of the above plus a matte black paint job. To me it looks like someone sprayed the car, wheels, and windows with black primer from a rattle can. To quote Rodney Dangerfield...but it looks good on you.

Maybe it's because I'm old enough to remember when all cars had black wheels, which were only visible when the hubcaps fell off.

I do like gloss black wheels with silver rims on a white car though.

As you say - to each their own.
A rather childish reaction to someone who was expressing his opinion.
