Default OK I am sick of searching

I have a 99 996 that is Mirage Met. Looking to see what matte black rims look like on the car. Specifically the Victor Innsbruck rims, but I am open to viewing others.
Could someone save me from my misery and post the pic of their car with somewhat like color so I can decide whether I want to order.
Thanks

Mirage metallic here too. Sorry, no black wheels for me.

However, I seem to recall that there was someone else on here with a Mirage car fitted with black Turbo look wheels. Unfortunately I can't remember his screen name. I think he sold his car about 18 months ago and then came back a few months later saying he was trying to buy another one.

These are not Innsbruck, but Victor Equipment Zehns. Gives you some idea of the color and contrast.

I have meridian metallic with the silver turbo look wheels but turned them black in photoshop. Just a quick low quality job but you get the idea.

That is the look that I like. I think... I am torn between the matte black look and the silver. Black looks aggressive and I like that, but the silver Innsbrucks look classy and speedy.
Hmmmm....

Seriously???? I dunno... heck I don't get it! In my opinion black rims look positively awful on the 996. I don't mean to cut-down one man's idea of beautiful or "very nice" but seriously black wheels look so de'classe and ummmm boy toyish... (deliberate emphasis on the boy part).

Sorry. Just one 996'r opining here, but I had to get it out.

Not really. Just like a black car shows dirt almost immediately, so do black wheels.

I have black wheels on my 996 and I have to wipe them down with a damp micro fiber towel every day. I decided I'm going to change the brake pads to Hawk HPS Pads because from what I read there is little or no brake dust.

For the record, black wheels are harder to keep clean, I know, they're on my car.

Just one mans opinion indeed. I for one like the de-bling that black wheels offer.

Savannah beige interiors and too big wings are what makes me cringe, especially on cabs with skirts with glitzy wheels

As you say - to each their own.

I myself am a big fan of black wheels. Like Jasper said I think the "de-blling" look is killer. Does anyone have a pic of black wheels on a black 996. I'm having a hard time finding any in a search. I'm thinking of painting my turbo twists black.

I have the black Innsbrucks on my arctic silver 996. I think they look great. It's a solid wheel at a very reasonable price. The other nice thing is that if you decide that black or Matte black is no longer the color for you, it would be really resonable to have the wheels painted any color you like.

i have to admit that the Innsbrucks wheels don't have the best paint on them as far as durability goes.

i was thinking about having my wheel painted Porsche Basalt black with some durable clear coat over them when I need new tires.

Or you could easily have the wheels painted silver later on....
