Default Front and rear brake pads same?

On the 2003 996 Carrera, are front and brake pads the same? On some part sites the part numbers are the same for both while on others they are different.

Any help is appreciated.

Some sites are just a generic parts dump, where there is no research put into the parts that they are selling. Not only do we put in the time for research, we try to make our site as user friendly as possible. We are constantly adding parts and acquiring more vendors.

Here are front pad choices

Here are rear pad choices

I'm actually looking at rotors and noticed you stock both Porsche and aftermarket.

Any opinions on whether the aftermarket are as stout as the OEM? Not knowing anything about manufacturing I would assume that rotors should be pretty easy to make and an aftermarket solution could be just as good. Is that the case in your experiences?

I would have no problem putting Meyle rotors on, but there are only front applications with no rear. I know most owners prefer to carry the same brand rotors, front and rear.

Balo is another good choice for inexpensive rotors. They do take a bit longer to receive than the Sebros. It is just whatever you decide as a customer.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Its good to see you guys on here. I have been buying from ECS for many years. Before for my VW's and now for my Porsche. I just bought Front Pair of Sebro Rotors, PBR Pads & IRO Brake Sensors for my C4S about a Month ago from your guys, still need to Install them...

Some of the Info regarding the Brake Pads Shims needs to be Corrected on your Website for the C4S/Turbo Cars.

Awesome to hear! I've been procrastinating with my race car too, so I know the feeling!

Thank you for bringing the info to our attention. I'm having it corrected as it type this!
