Default Cup Car Steering Wheel Installed. Too Hardcore?

I finally got my 996 cup steering wheel installed. What do you guys think. Too hardcore? Hehe

All joking aside, the feel of the car is now 10x better versus the oem 3 spoke steering wheel. What a difference.....

I saw a couple of those for sale at the Hershey swap meet today. Heres a link to an album I made of some of the sights. https://picasaweb.google.com/mikulmu...etApril212012# All you need now is some carpeting lol.... Oh and remove that manual from under the steering if you are looking to lighten the vehcle. Looks very sharp BTW.

Is it just the angle of the photo, or is the steering wheel somehow touching the bottom right part of the seat??

Like the wheel, someone stole your carpet.

your car is the right color, but you still have too many interior bits remaining

It looks badass, no doubt about it. But not sure I could give up the airbag. Having watched them deploy firsthand on two separate occasions when I've been hit, they are definitely beneficial.

Wow that does look weird. It's just an illusion lol.

I agree that airbags have their place, but I have 6 point Porsche Motorsports racing harnesses that I use at all times. An airbag won't do anything to help me as the harnesses keep me from moving around. I did leave the side airbags however.......

Since you've removed the carpet from your car, I don't think it's too hard core for you.

Looks awesome! Do you drive much on the street? I envy your lack of carpet, but afraid it would be too much for a DD.

This is actually my DD hehe. I work from home and have almost everything I need within a 60 second walk so I don't drive that often...... I should add that the rear interior is also completely gutted (carpet, panels, audio) and I have a GT3 RS Clubsport roll bar in the back. At this point I'm the only one who enjoys riding in my car anymore (because I get to drive); otherwise I get complaints about it being too loud, too hot, uncomfortable, etc.

I understand completely! My back seats are coming out this week for an RSS rollbar and my wife isn't too happy about it (my 2 boys still "fit" back there). I have always loved the look of vehicles without carpet and would rip mine out in a second if I was single

If I wanted a luxury car I wouldn't have bought a 911!

I like the wheel. If your tracking with harnesses no need for the airbag. Plus you preserve the wheel if you want to reverse the mod.

Dotframe, my rear seats are removed as well as the belts. I was surprised to have more cabin noise with the seats removed. The seats actually help dampen road/engine noise. Also, those seat backs are heavy. I think with belts I removed around 25lbs. Once the belts were removed I bought the GT3 seat belt plugs to fill the holes left behind. Sun coast sells them for about $90 I think.. Rather expensive but they are covered in leather and match perfectly.
