I like them and appear to be a good alt to burned lenses. At a cost of 1000.00 EACH for oem.

Bringing this thread back from the dead! I personally like these led headlights and taillights or at least the taillights that resemble the 2009 up 911's. First off, the concept of putting led's in headlights came from Audi and now just about every auto manufacture, including Porsche, use them. I actually think the cheesy insertion of led's in the front bumpers(like Mercedes, Porsche etc)look far more "ricey" then actual integration with the headlight. The 996 yoke shape headlights are very dated and bland. My first 911 was a 2001 C2 and I spent $1800 for a pair of litronics! That hurt but it was an improvement. I love the cleaner design of the new aftermarket led headlamps. The front half, arrow shaped leds on them also serve as a signal light and change color from white to amber when in use. The little led strips on the sides of the projectors do look cheesy but a simple wiring mod can disable its function and make the lifeless bulbs look more decorative then anything else. I will be installing a black housing set on my 99 C2 and post pics soon. I'm also going with the 997 style led taillamps because it currently has the amber half look all around. I understand that these mass produced Taiwanese built lights might have its issues in the future but it won't be to hard to upgrade the lighting by opening them up and replacing whatever needs to be replaced. It is a decent looking base to work with. I am new to this forum but have been a Porsche enthusiast since the age of 14. I'm very passionate about automobiles period. I hope to be a helpful contributor to this forum. Love this site!

Thanks Rob and nice lights geetee. Those are the ones I want! Did you buy from a US dealer or overseas Ebay seller? So far so good?

Not mine yet zabuch. Those pics are from a vendor who sells them on ebay. I didn't want to advertise for anyone so I removed the dealers name off the ad. Very clean and updated oem look for our dated 996 babies.

On the first page it seems you opted out of the headlights. Last time I replaced bulbs up front I could of sworn there is a lot more to the light module that slides out. I'm thinkong this gut is selling the outside face and light bulb riggings but not the housing. I don't think its the whole module and uncertain if its a break apart or uncrew to add his stuff. I'm mostly wondering.

For the rear I've never removed mine but also have to wonder on that item if its the complete module.
