They're not really my thing. I'm not anti-mod but they scream aftermarket to me kind of like Buick portholes or Z3 gills on a Honda Civic. To each their own. I've probably seen worse.

I like the concept of adding modern LED lights to a 996 headlight. It would be nice to add that option if you were looking to freshen up a set of worn headlights. However, in this case, I think the design is over the top. There are too many LEDs in that light cluster, and it looks a little cheesy. It would have been much nicer if they had been a little more conservative with the design.

There are other ways to devalue your car too.
Purple window tint, fake mobile phone antenna, bobble head air fresheners on the dash, PINSTRIPES!!! The stick-on kind though, not painted. Make 'em green. Doesn't matter what colour your car is.

Since individual LEDs can't be replaced, I think LED lights will be a serious problem for aging cars. They will start to look trashy as individual LEDs fail, but owners won't want to spend hundreds of dollars to replace the entire fixture. I don't see any upside to them regardless of their style.

Personally i like the idea of an easy update and with real benefits. Having said that, I would still like to see them installed before i make a decision to keep them on.

If they could blink out a message like "Whassup?" then I'm in.
