Thanks for the feedback. I agree it makes the car look cheap. With that being said, I am going to dig myself a bigger hole....
How about these Dectane rear LEDs? thoughts? Good or bad upgrade

"Why ask our opinion?" Hahaha Wow Gonzo your right!
Wow I'm such a dummy, for a second i thought this forum was for discussing, getting opinions and asking questions about our cars.

I happen to like LEDs on the right car. In my opinion Audi tends to do them well.
While Marc will probably disagree I think the tail lights you linked to are a little more subtle on the cheesiness factor than the headlights. I don't find them to be nearly as offensive or cheap looking. That said, they still don't match the rest of the car. LEDs are very "today"...not late '90s to '04.
What is your goal in modding? Usually, someone has a vision in mind of what they want their car to look like and they mod to that look. Do you just have the mod bug? Are you looking to mod just to mod or do you have a particular vision of a car that you're trying to achieve? To your point, there's nothing wrong with asking for opinions but at the end of the day it's your car. If you like it who cares what anyone else thinks?

I don't mind LEDs if they are done tastefully. The problem with most of the aftermarket products, including the headlights shown at the beginning of this thread, is that they are overdone. The reasoning seems to be that if LEDs are good, then lots and lots of LEDs must be really good. I don't agree with this reasoning...

On the off off chance anyone is actually considering these abominations, please realize that the chinese factory producing them will panic and dump their stock in about 6 months. They should sell reasonably well on Ebay for $150 or so, maybe less.

LEDs can be expensive when they go out. A bank of them went out in my wife's MB and the whole tail light assemply had to be replaced. If it wasn't under warranty, it would have been almost $500.
I like the idea of $1.00 for a bulb I can replace myself.
As for the mods, start with the pumpkins and then go from there. You have a great looking car. Think hard before you change the appearance too much.

I'm not a fan of the christmas tree look with the little points of light. LED lights are over done at this point on anything and everything new at this point.
