Harbor freight had a set for around $8 ... make sure you get the security version with hole in the middle .. I was removing maf. And standard torx. Doesn't work.

I think you are talking about the standard Torx "screw driver" bits with hollowed out through-hole in the middle? The Torx "socket" I'm looking for should not have any "security" features.

BTW I do have the security Torx driver bits.

aviography - I went out only yesterday to buy the Torx socket E12 here in Australia, but I couldn't buy just the E12, had to buy the the complete set - but it cost only $25.
I removed my front seat this morning (found broken support & sagging foam) and those front two seat bolts where TIGHT.
If you buy a Torx set just make sure that you get the 1/2" drive - anything smaller and I think you will struggle....

Yes I will likely get the set and it would be 3/8" drive, I have both electric and pnuematic impact wrench, loosening these bolts should be no problem!

I usually take them out with a 3/8 drive electric impact.

I bought the torx socket mentioned from Advanced Auto. $4 I think. That and a 3/8" impact wrench make changing seats a breeze for when the DE season is here.

I ended up bought two sets, one is the 1/4" drive E4 to E10 and the other is 3/8 drive E-10 to E-18, 6 pieces per set and both sets are deep socket since the regular socket were out of stock, the combined cost of both sets were $18, a single E12 socket at the local automotive store was $7.50!

I bought "a few" other items too while I was in the store.
