Default what offsets can we use on NB 996?

looks like my stock 18" wheels are 8" and 52 offset front and 10" and 65 offset rear.

might want and extra set for winter and trying to figure out what offsets would work. there seem to be very limited options compared to my old Audi S4.

With 17" wheels you can go 50 to 55 mm fronts and 50 to 55 mm rears (depending on tire size).

With 18" wheels you can go 50 to 52 mm fronts and 63 to 65 mm rears (depending on tire size).

thx Loren..

is there a link somewhere that includes wheels that have these offsets? it seems like options are pretty limited (at least compared to the options I had for my B5 S4 Avant)

There's many options. Extra set for winter in 18's or 17's? Factory vs. factory style rep. vs. aftermarket. There are many many options out there. Front offsets going to depend on width 7.5/8/8.5 is most common. Rear 9/10 most common. Offset range in general is going to vary depending on what width you're looking for.

Lots of people put 7 mm front and 15 mm rear spacers. You probably can get away with 5mm more offset in the front and 10 mm different in the rear compared to stock.

Complete details are in Porsche's TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins).

If these are winter wheels you will to stay away from spacers - as those could lead to fender damage.

There is increased flexibility beyond the factory specs. As you can see from the victor equipment information, you can run an offset of 55 on the rear with 18 or 19 inch wheels and an offset as low as 45 on the front with 18s & 19s.

MODEL TYPE YEAR CHASIS
911 Carrera 1998-2004 996
WHEEL STYLE FRONT REAR

LeMans, Turismo 18x8 (ET45) 18x11 (ET52)
LeMans, Turismo 19x8 (ET45) 19x11 (ET52)
Zehn 18x8 (ET45) 18x11 (ET55)
Zehn 19x8 (ET45) 19x11 (ET55)

I run the Victor Innsbrucks (not listed) with 18x8 45et and 18x11 with 55et
