Default TiKORE Titanium Lug Bolts

Hey everyone, we at TiKORE Industries are excited about our new Rennlist sponsorship. We have decided to make our intro by presenting an excellent group buy to members.

https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...ro-tikore.html

First a little background on TiKORE.

TiKORE Industries (pronounced Tie-Core) was established in 2010 to serve the needs of the aftermarket automotive industry. TiKORE designs, engineers, and manufactures titanium and other alloy products at its headquarters located in Fort Lauderdale, FL (USA).

We offer titanium lug bolts and lug nuts for all brands of vehicles (custom sets as well for those folks running spacers). For Porsche we offer a two piece bolt similar to the factory bolt (without all the rust and wear) and a one piece bolt similar to many other lug bolts.

No doubt they are a very nice piece, but for that price there needs to be a demonstrable benefit to running these. The first one that comes to mind for me is unsprung weight.

How much do a set of these weigh in comparison to a set of factory bolts?

Great question.

The weight of the factory set is 4.11 lbs.
The weight of the TiKORE set is 3.07 lbs.

Also in regards to the titanium:
Grade 5 6AL-4V Titanium (Tikore's preferred material):
Yield Strength: 128,000psi
Ultimate Tensile Strength: 138,000psi
Shear Strength: 79,800psi
Density: .160 lb/in^3

Main link to the group buy page is above.

Our standard pricing is $599 for the two piece set and $499 for the one piece set. This is more than half the price of quality competitors. Please note we roll all of our threads, manufacture the bolts in house and all of our titanium bolts are crafted from grade 5 certified titanium bar stock.

We are going to offer the group buy at 2 levels:

Level 1 at the start of the group buy – Free Shipping in the USA
2 piece set = $540 (Click here to purchase)
1 piece set = $440 (Click here to purchase)

Level 2 will commence after 15 purchases – Free Shipping in the USA
2 piece set = $520
1 piece set = $420
*Refunds will be provided once level 2 is reached.

This will last until April 30th. With the insane increase in titanium costs, this is an absolute amazing price for quality TI bolts.

Thanks
Joshua

3.07 lbs = 1.392kg for 20 bolts
69,6 grams per bolt

And that is for the 2 piece design. Correct?

What is the weight of the 1 piece set ?

Porsche has different bolts with different weights for each model.

For example the older 996 bolts are 100 grams per bolt and the newer 997.1GT3 bolts are 90 grams per bolt (shorter 14.5mm bolt addendum vs. the 16.5mm older head).

The 991 bolts are even lighter.
The lengths are different too depending on the model and/or use of spacers.

What is the length of your titanium bolts? A one size fits all?

Thanks and welcome to Rennlist. : )

Great post! On average you will get a 25% - 30% weight savings from either the 1 or 2 piece (not too much of weight difference from either).

Above weights were from two piece design. We actually have since made a small adjustment and they are slightly lighter now.

We can do custom lengths for folks running spacers (small charge for the extra titanium) we take care of the designing.

I'm sure there's a market out there for people that have everything already or someone that wants to squeeze out the last 2% on their vehicle but I don't fall into those categories. I guess it's time to hit the gym. ;

I do have to say though that the bolts seem like a piece of art and very well made.

Thank you, we do take extreme pride in our product and in fact do look at them as a form of art.

Any other questions/comments/etc? We had great success with a group purchase on Planet-9.

$499 and $599 for a set of lug bolts seems pretty crazy to me. But luckily for Tikore there are crazies out there.
