Capt Obvious from the audi forums... nice to know I'm not the 1st to go from awesome B5 Avant to 996.
I'm missing the Avant but can't wait to experience this 911. Not the smartest choice I am sure (and wish I could have found a C4S or a turbo) but so looking forward to picking it up on Saturday and driving the 9-10 hrs back from Nashville...

Also, don't be afraid to work on these cars yourself. After owning a 2.7T the M96 is downright enjoyable to work on!

I did pads only around 38k miles and recently replaced pads and rotors at 56k miles. Do the rotors have lips or ridges on the outer edge? Brakes are pretty easy to do and you can save some $ if you DIY, plus you'll bond with your Porsche.

Hey Ryan thats easy for you to say. I have seen all the postings of the work you have done on your car. You are a wiz kid for sure. The man. I must agree that this car is a joy to work on. I love the car and don't mind getting stuck in if I am sure I can finish the job at hand. My work has all been pretty easy. Brakes, sensors and fluid, cooling system, oil, air filters and surpentine belt, front radiators cleaned with front off the car so far. No doubt there will be more in the future.
