Default Thinking of Panamera

Anyone went from a 911 to Panamera? I have a VF supercharged 996 cab.

I haven't been able to drive the cab much. It's not practical with 2 kids, they are very cramped in the back seat and a stroller won't fit in the trunk.

Only time I have driving a Pan is on the track. I believe it was a Pan S. Very nice car. You forget those two rear door were even back there.

The only time I have driven an Pan is on the street. I got one as a loaner while my car was in for service.
  • It's fricking HUGE!
  • Rear visibility is severely limited. The rear window looks like a mail slot back there.
  • The B-pillar is fricking HUGE! Look to the left to check the lane next to you, and all you see is pillar.
  • I liked the PDK once I was moving but didn't like it when backing out of a parking spot. You have to give it gas, let it rev up and the clutch engage, then back off the gas and get on the brake to keep it from lurching out into the parking lot.
  • Interior appointments, seating space, and luggage space are all excellent.
  • Handling and turn-in are very good, considering.

For the money, I'd seriously look at an Audi before buying a Panamera.

The Audi A7 is what the Panamera SHOULD have looked like. At least go take a look at one.

Also, the 3.0T engine in those things is a MONSTER with some fairly minor upgrades (exhaust, intake, smaller supercharger pulley and tuning).
