I liked mine, until it left me stranded on the top of a freeway bridge in rush hour. I had to crawl under dash in traffic and remove it,then the car drove home fine. Sprint booster did offer to sell me another one. I was under dash with door open leg sticking out terrified. Always carry road flares.

I have always wondered how the sprint booster "boosts" the signal as I am convinced that it must be a very simple circuit inside that little box...maybe something that one could make without dishing out $300 could do the exact same thing?..any thoughts?

OK, My Sprint Booster arrived yesterday. I can't for the life of me figure out how to install this thing. I am not very mechanical, but the "wire" just looks like it goes inside of my accelerator - all of the youtube videos look like there is a plug on the accelerator and this goes between the plug and the wire - does the accelerator come apart some how?
Thanks!

What year is your car? If it's 1999 or earlier then it is NOT electronic throttle, ie it woul be mechanical throttle and the electronic Sprintbooster won't work.

OP,
Not sure if you have figured it out yet, I just had a look of my car, the semi-regid cable you see in your picture is a mechanical cable in a sleeve to transfer the throttle pedal motion upwards to the electroic sensor (likely a potentiometer or an encoder) and connects to the electronic sensor.
Follow the mechanical cable through a half-loop path and you will see it ends beside a black flat connector with 6 wires on it, that is where you need to disconnect and put the Sprint Booser in.
This is certainly not the easiest thing to do as you would almost have to lie on your back into the front footwell to see and work on this connector, get a limber youngster and give him $20 to do this if you don't feel like bending and contorting like a pretzel, it will be well worth it.

all c4 are drive by wire.... follow the wire, it will lead you to a connector, plug the sprint booster between the connection.
I shut my booster off in traffic... not useable IMHO. Other than that its great on the track.

settings? If so how is the medium setting like? I have heard from a local owner that he only uses the high setting on the track and uses the medium setting in day-to-day traffic.
