check engine light on
When I started my car this morning, the old check engine light came on. Hooked the Maxiscan II up to it & it read Po300 random/multiple cylinder misfire detected, then Po302 cylinder 2 & Po305 cylinder 5 both showing misfire detected. It seems like its running fine, would it be ok to drive to the indy or should I not start it anymore. I Definitely don't need to erase them before the indy checks it out though do I. Thanks
Thanks Guys, Pac the gas is probably 3-4 months old. And the deal with the rain & coil packs, well I had that happen to me about a year or so ago & I FREAKED (immediately thought it was the dreaded IMS/RMS Issue) until I called an indy & he told me about the rain issue & just let it sit for awhile & see what happens, guess I got lucky. I've NEVER been so relieved when it came to my Porsche, all I could imagine was $$$$$ for a new motor, cause it was spitting & spuddering really bad. And Divot, I had just read about maybe clearing them & see if they come back on or not (think thats what I'll do & see what happens) since its NOT Blinking!
Thanks Guys, mission accomplished! It cleared them, now if I can get the air bag light off. I swear it seems like every other week one of my lights come on, a couple of weeks ago we just got the ABS/Brake lights cleared off. But, these are the ONLY Issues I've ever had with my car, so I'm definitely not complaining. Well, I did have to put an alternator on it awhile back, other than that I just get in it & enjoy!

If the ABS was an intermitent or one time thing maybe flush the brake fluid to make sure it wasn't contamination causing the bad data that set off the CEL. Nothing worse than letting water sit in the brake fluid. Silicone fluids attract water and hold it in it making rust if the car isn't run regularly. The heating the fluid help cook off the moisture.
