I really enjoy the car I have in so many ways but half the fun was the 12 months of research/ searching to find it. While I realize the grass is always greener somewhere else, it's still fun to look forward. So, my goal/fantasy is a 997.2 C2S or C4S. I don't dare test drive one for fear of full blown obsession. If finances allow it I am targeting 2013 for the upgrade.

I wish you were right.

I might like to take a look in about 3 years, when enough of the 997s are the same age as my 996 was when I got it:
eg, I'll look for a 8 year old car in 2014, when there are some 9 and (technically) 10 year-old 997s already on the market.

This car is not too optioned and frankly I prefer the all leather interior style and simple exterior to the 997. Now 10 years from now ... maybe a 991.. they are a very nice looking Robo Car.
Well said!

i was in a 991 today.... man, those plastic interior doors looks like crap. All leather is the way to go if you want the feel of a 100k+ car.

+1 on skipping the 997.... a gt3 would be nice though.

"$65k for a 2009 C2S with 24k miles."

Was at my nearest dealer today as I do about one every other month just to see what they have and also to look at the 991.
They have a 2009 Carrera PDK, Pasm w/ all infotainments, GPS, 30k miles with warranty balance + CPO for $64.9K. Very tempting.

I love my car.
+1. The C4S is something special. Also like some others have said, my has enough power and the additional tenths of a second are not going to make a difference for me.

Nope. If I were to send a bunch of extra money it would be on a stroker & trans refresh then I'd be way more in 7th heaven than with a 997.

Anyone else see really cheap CPO 997.2's at their dealer?
