Saw the 991 in Speed Yellow at the Dealer in Scottsdale on Friday. Sunroof was open and I asked the Salesman if it was supposed to look like that! He told me that it was the number one complaint about the car. I was shocked at how plush the interior was. My '03 996 seems suddenly dated....from the inside anyway. Uh-oh. $$$

Visited Griot's garage Coffee & Cars today... and they had two 991's, a Panamera and Cayenne Turbo supplied by Dealer. Also in attendance was a Audi GT V10 and Austin Martin Vantage and several Red Italian motor cars ... In that assembly it is very clear what Porsche is doing. At $122,000 for these Carrera S 991 models they need to be Dolled up in Luxury to compete. I love to look of any of these wonderful sports / GT machines ... but the techie stuff is Way over the top. Like I really need Two digital displays in the dash? I would love to spend $100K and trade in my 996 for a Porsche which I can no longer see the engine .. but has a Acoustic Engine Noise baffle device to allow me to hear the motor ... or not ... at the push of the button! Just one of the twenty plus buttons in the Console?
