Can you tell me how much you paid for the timing chain and chain guide replacement.
How many hours the mechanic asked to perform the repair

Guido: Thanks for the update,
Hopefully that will be it for a while.

 

Offcourse; he worked a total of 28 hours for disassemble and assemble the engine.
This means taking off the whole exhaust system, valve covers, 2 oil pumps, and the solenoids. After this was taken off, both sides of the camshafts were disassembled from the engine. The camshaft chains were replaced on both sides.

Both Chain guides: 47$ (~ €36)
Both camshaft chaines: 79$ (~ €60)
2 Selonoids: 481$ (~ €365)

Thanks, i hope this was the last repair i have to do, the only thing we need is some sunny weather and then i can fully enjoy the car
