Looks more correct as IX XI, since they don't call the car a "nine hundred and eleven"! Very Roman!

I guess technically, it should be IX - I -I

 

The use of CMXI depends on whether you want it pronounced nine hundred and eleven or nine eleven.

IX I I would be nine one one... I don't think most of us ever use that nomenclature for the cars.

I prefer the IX XI for nine eleven - well done!
