Your cars look great! Do you have the H&R street performance coilovers? What is your ride height? How do you like the feel of your suspension? I am leaning in that direction.

thanks,

Thanks. Like Mlee I also have the Street Performance coil-overs. Im not sure of the exact ride height but it is quite low. Though I haven't had any problems with clearance. The streets here in Los Angeles are dreadful, and the ride can be rough with the tire setup. I think I will be going with 30 or 35 sidewalls on the next set of tires, and will raise the ride height slightly to accommodate. I purchased the car a few months back with the current setup, which included new tires so I'll deal with the ride quality for now.

This looks nice. Can you elaborate on your spring choice (sports or street performance)? How is the ride quality compared to stock?

Bought it like this. Shop that did some work said it looks like stock shocks with shorter springs. Will have to measure the fender to ground distance.

Ride quality is fantastic, not any stiffer than stock but reduced body roll.

Those are the H&R sports.

Pic in my signature is from when I bought the car, H&R springs and stock shocks. Loved the look, but as a DC daily driver it was just too low and harsh - the latter partly attributable to the front shocks being knackered.

Swapped the whole lot for a Euro M030 setup and am delighted with the result. Still preferred the lower look on the H&Rs though.

Vdubjetta02 - might I respectfully suggest you consider some wheel spacers? To compensate for the offset difference with the Carrera III rims I added 7mm at the back 15mm at the front - after the sig pic was taken - and vastly prefer the look.

Am I the only person in this forum that likes stock ride height?
Nothing against ones who prefer lowering but I somehow preferred stock.

I pretty much like all ride heights. After being lowered and going back to stock though it looks like a 4x4 rally car until you get used to again. But the nice thing is I have a rough road on the way home that I can take the 996 on with stock shocks. But it's too rough and I bottom out too much on lowered coilovers of any kind.
