Cool

Airrik,
Hey, quite a few of the guys hacking at you here have done the same thing. Long before this Forum ever existed, I drove my (then) brand new 996 away from the dealership, saw the green light, and called the service department.

Here is a quick Primer on dash lights:
Green - Good. Nothing to worry about. Check your owners manual.
White - Also good. Means your background lighting is working as designed.
Yellow - Hello! Means something is waiting to happen (such as your car is about to roll dead because you are out of gas).
Red - You need to look at something that isn't working correctly (unless it is your rear spoiler light - just means you haven't driven forward, yet - unless it stays on after you start driving forward).
Flashing Red - Stop. Pull over and see what's wrong. Figure it out before you continue driving. If it is the coolant warning light, it may be nothing (like you are on the track doing hot laps and the level in the resevoir keeps changing a little as you go around sharp corners).
Flashing Green - You left your turn signal on.
Blue - Your brights are on.
Flashing Blue - Stop, Pull over and see what's wrong. Ususally indicates you are about to get a ticket for speeding or running that really dark orange traffic light.
