I'm more of a conservative guy (blue Oxford shirt) so I may be leaning silver. It's good to hear that these wheels are good quality and handle better.

Does anyone have a picture of a grey car with the silver wheels for comparisons sake???

Default VICTOR WHEELS

I recently installed ZEHN Silver wheels on my silver C4S. They are elegant and enhance the horizontality of my car.
To my designer's eye, I cannot understand the fascination with black, multispoke wheels.

1) They always look dirty.
2) They are invisible, creating just big black discs.
3) The body of the car floats on blackness, and looks too vertical....NOT sleek!

In Montreal, many of use remove our Mags in winter and drive on black, dirty, rusty steel rims. Our winter cars look really, really lousy.

Why would anyone replicate this 'look'.

Black wheels might look macho, tough and malicious, in a stereotypical way, but a silver wheel is MUCH more harmonious with the 911 bodywork.

Joe, I tend to agree with you. I love the ZEHNS. They look terrific.

I did see a white cabrio 997 turbo with a black top and black wheels and it looked great, but I agree with your many points and I think the silver wheels, maybe even the ZEHNS would look good on my car.

My sentiments as well. Except for the designer part.

I think the black spokes with chrome rim like the FP.1's look good on most paint colors except black. I almost bought a speed yellow 99 C2 and another 2000 ocean blue with those. They give it more of a rally look. Kazual's wheels look good. Not exactly my taste but very nice.

I was leaning black for a while, now I'm leaning silver. I like the Innsbruck, but the Zehns are very nice.

Wheels are a big decision, they many times make the car but most of all because of their expense. You will have to live with them for a while.

Decisions decisions...

Default WHEELS

I agree with the need to 'be sure' about wheels, as one will have to live with them awhile/ However, At $1500 per set, these Victor Wheels are very good value for money. The Insbruck is even partially forged!

A set of factory forged GT3 wheels, or the HRE items are about 3-4 x that cost.

I hope my Zehns withstand the rigours of tacking at Mont Tremblant. They'd better!

To Dresler,

I have been a practicing industrial designer for 40 years. That's all I meant.
I do not suffer from 'wing envy', or 'low wing esteem'.

These are the VE wheels in black n my Turbo. They are a real pain to clean but still ride good after 2 years,

I just meant I'm not a designer. Just a cold hard engineer.
