How to remove coat hanger hooks from Cab hard top?
Happy Thanksgiving all!
As winter is coming, I'm planning on putting the hard top on.
However, my DAS bar pushes up against the coat hangers.
Going around turns like this makes some not so good noises, like the hard top is not flexing with the body.
So, I would like to remove the coat hanger hooks. They are useless anyway.
With them gone, the roll bar looks like will fit right in.
There looks to be some kind of retainer behind the hook.
I can feel it but can't see it (putting fingers behind liner).
Has anyone here removed the hooks before?
Thanks all!

As luck would have it, I just had to dye my hardtop interior panels to match my car, so I know how to do this. You have to remove the interior side panels from the hardtop. They're just held to the hardtop with clips, like door panel clips and just pull the side panels off. Start at the back. The clips are pretty robust, but they'll come loose. Once you've removed the side panels, just flip them over and you'll see that the coat hangers are held on the back in with three flat clips. Pry them loose and push the coat hangers out the front.

Hey,
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.
The side panels are held on to the top with these clips. If you just pull the panel toward you, they'll pop loose.
There are about 7 or 8 of them. The oblong holes are where they are located.
Start from the back. When you get up by the windshield header, there's a clip, but there's also this strange little locator tab. One of mine came off OK. The other one broke off so I had to epoxy it back on. No biggie. I'd say pull to pull the side panel toward the c pillar when you get to this point, but then the clip won't come out. I guess you just take your chances. Worst case scenario you have to epoxy the locator back on.
Once you get the panel off, flip it over and you'll see these flat clips holding the clothes hook that need to be worked off with a flat blade screwdriver.
