I have been looking at the front bumper covers available for my 1999 996 and I have narrowed it down to one particular style but I would liken to get feedback on the quality of these two different brands. The VIS Racing cover is 82% plastic and 18% fiberglass with a little bit of flex. The Duraflex brand looks very flexible, more like the factory urethane but some reviews say the fit isn't very good. I have a VIS Racing CF hood on my M3 and have been very pleased with it. Had it for 5-6 years now with no issues. The fit and lines are very good.

I recently ordered and installed the one by Extreme Dimensions that is polyurethane. Overall the fitment was quite good and the material seems very robust similar to my factory bumper. My only complaint is that the sidemarkers require using a 997 style which did not fit right to my 996 inner fender clip. My solution to this was to use the 997 sidemarker (in clear) but transfer the steel spring clip from my 996 sidemarkers to use with the 997 ones to make it fit right. Overall a very nice looking 997 GT3 style bumper for a 996.

That looks great, I ordered the FRP bumper, from VIS Racing, (fiberglass reinforced plastic) and I also have the factory 997 turn signals which go in the bumper. I'll post a picture when complete.
