Hey all, just picked up a 99 996 c2 with 39000 miles on it...
After having it a few days, I noticed a clunk when shifting as well as when I let off the gas, I'm thinking motor mounts, and my buddy said the engine does "lift" a bit under load when we tested it with the engine door open...what else could it be, trans mount? I hear people quick fix that with injections of silicone, does that work and what sort of product do u use? Thanks!
no silicone injections...just fresh parts....replace what is worn/broke
you might check cv's joints too
I don't know if i agree with you. I've seen some silicone injections before and they sure do add some very nice lift and stability at the same time but then again, the more I think about it, the less I think it has to do with a car engine and more that it has to do with something else that got me going.
