right Macster - somthing is causing this...we all agree it's most likely pad material, and we wish it wasnt happening....there could be more, there could be the signs of things to come....

I think contacting the warranty company and saying anything is outright shooting your foot...they know about these cars, there is plenty of people with no idea in the world who one day had their car stop running and a large puddle of oil come out from somewhere in the back....

since he has a warranty - his best option is to just drive it....if it does nothing then so be it, if it does something he is covered. I think there is no other option for him....

now without the warranty - its another ball game, I would at least pull the cam covers off and have a look inside...might see a pad in need to replacement that will stop this from continuing, doubt you would see anything more without spending some serious money so I would then do what I am suggesting now...drive it and monitor it

in the end the OP has to make the choice so whatever we all say is just data for him. But for me....with warranty.... I'm smiling and turning up the radio, windows open and singing along....
