Default Ordered a Durametric

Just placed my order for the enthusiast kit. Seems like the way to go for diagnostics etc.... What's the consensus on version 5 or 6?

Good choice, v6 is the future, but v5 still supported and has plenty o' features.

I just wish they would offer more customization
for diagnostic, pretty good, but would be nice to go further, I wonder how many purchased these things and if they actually have budget to make it a stronger tool. I think the enthusiast might be the limitation I have had as the more pricey model seems to be more powerfull.
PS: I have not used it in a while, but worth having for a used porsche owner who like to wrench

Good product, but as I have said before I wish it was more "feature rich" like Vag-com that I use for my Audi's.

The V6 SW can be a bit flakey sometimes, so I have both loaded on my laptop.

I was wondering about that exact thing version 6 being a beta and all. does closing and reopening the SW help at all?

Tried using version 6 on a 5.2.2?? DME (1999 MY) and the program freezes. Version 6 okay on MY 2000 (newer DME version). What Durametric really lacks is a good graphing tool.

v6 on my 5.2.2 DME works fine, no freeze ups (I just helped them add another monitor for bank 2 camshaft deviation BTW, which should be released in the next version).

IIRC enthusiast and pro are the same, just with pro you aren't limited by number of VINs you can use it on.

+1^ The latest version of the V6 is much better on a 5.2.2
