Default Will OEM Taco Wing Decklid fit on 996 Cabrio?

I have a 2000 C2 Cabrio and have located an OEM MK1 Taco Wing the same color as my car. Will the Taco Wing work with the Cabrio or will it interfere with the convertible top?

Anyone done this? pics?

lets see....

taco on a cab.....

hmm...

I am fairly certain that will be JUST FINE

as long as:
you dont want to use your top
you dont want to open your engine lid
you dont mind us all laughing at it (for years)
you like looking silly and went to the school for silly walks

yea, its should fit - FINE!
I for one would like it and if it was a wide body with a narrow body part, all the better (or visa versa)

So what you are saying Ed, is that I will need to put the top down prior to installation, put a bag over my head and carry an umbrella.

If we can make the Taco Wing flip back when the clam shell opens, that would work. We could use the hydraulics for the current wing and mount them to the Taco Wing deck lid in reverse.

Ed, what tools do you have for that?
