Default camber plates : oem or aftermarket?

With the porsche gt3 camber plate (aka monoball) priced the same as the tarett or rennline camber plates, what is the better hardware ?

I am installing my pss9 soon and I think I'll buy a set to get the extra 1degree of camber in the front., they are still cheaper ($500) than the lower control arms ($1000) and will be easier to install as well.

any experience on this ?

I just went with the GT3 monoballs knowing that my car will mainly be a street car first and foremost and the fact that I don't need crazy camber most of the time. If you drill out the alternate set of holes, you can further increase camber. I also like that fact that the OEM units have proven to be durable. Can't say that for some aftermarket ones I've read about in the past. But for someone doing a good amount of DE and track days, I would probably get the adjustable ones.

If you get OEM mounts can't you rotate them to give you more camber to start?

Lower control arms give you a wider track, so that may be beneficial. Not to mention adjustability with shims. Tarett sells LCAs for ~$700.

If it was me, I'd go with the LCA first, and upper mounts second.

This is what I meant, sorry if it wasn't clear.

I am afraid the LCA would be more of a pain to install than the upper mount. but you are right, they are very close in price, the oem are $799 at suncoast..

tough choice, I am waiting for feedback before pressing the trigger on any of them.

Are you looking for that setting for the front or rear?

Wouldn't that depend on where you have your ride height set at first?

Also, front or rear... Depending on the ride height you can get -2.5 in the rear without shims... while in the front you will need them.

Definitely Tarret Engineering is the way to go. I've been going back and forth with Ira and he's great. The hardware is completely up to snuff.

Get the LCAs and don't look back.

good thinking... I forgot about the ride height thing.

I think I will go ahead and install the LCA in the front, that will give me more control if I need more camber in the future I think.

Also that way I don't have to go with monoballs, as it seems for monoball, your suspension is only as good as your weakest link. So it makes better sense to go monoball all the way (a bunch of other control arms and toe links) at once to really see the value added.
