Got my first 911 when I was 29 so anyone who knows me would not say that, I'm 45 now and a motorhead all my life.
I agree, Mid life crises would be a lear and a cheerleader
Damn, I need me a mid life crises!

I´d just bought my first Porsche at 49! If it´s a mid-life crise, I just loving it! For some they can afford to buy one at a young age, but for me it took a while to get the money (building a house and then get some loans whitout paying them ). And I think they are a lot pricier in Sweden compared to the US. Never mind,
what´s wrong with having fun at 50?

I'm 57 and finally could buy my first 911. I have had to listen to that "mid life" thing but I have the Porsche and they don't....
They tell me it's a chick magnet too, but I'm not good looking enough for that.....lol
Personally, I don't care what they think. I've never driven a finer automobile and it makes ME feel good.

Bought my first Porsche (of 17) when I was 22. Bought this one in 2004. I'm 62. I have had two newer ones since this one, but this one was the "keeper."
I didn't have a mid-life crisis. I was ALWAYS out of control.
But my closest to MLC-like would have been in 1989 when I special ordered a brand new 1989 911 Targa, took delivery at the factory in Stuttgart, and spent a month driving it through Europe before shipping it home.

Very co-incidentally I had just looked at those photos late this past Friday night. I took about a 200 pictures on that trip. My wife took pictures of the speedo and tach when we were on the Autobahn. I had to "limit" the car to 135 MPH because it was brand new.

When gals suggest that to me, I just smile as I open the door for them to get in. It's really a shame that the car is so damn low, I need to be there to help them in and out of it. Not one of them has complained!!

You know I saw a used 2009 tacoma that had all the goodies- TRD offroad, manual 6spd, and the crew cab 4-door setup. $26k. I thought that was ridiculous. But I guess if you're going to spend $60k on a tundra...

I get that comment all the time. I'm 42 and fit the profile I guess, but like others have said, I've wanted a Porsche 911 since I knew what a sports car was, and now I can afford one, and afford to make it nice. I hope they don't regret not getting one is how I feel, you only live once, my 9 year old cancer surviving daughter taught me that the hard way. Hell, buy a Porsche, if you can buy 2. (how cool would that be?)
