PSM inactive?

PSM inactive?
When I try to switch off (just because I'm supposed to be able to) the PSM, the switch LED doesn't light up and neither does the indicator light on the dash. The computer doesn't show any faults logged either and the dash light does show up when going through initial diagnostics.
Any ideas what's happening??
