Default 6th gear drop

hello everyone,
just wondering, shifting preference. while i am on the highway in 6th gear at 70+/- and have opportunity to pass i typically choose 4th gear. i know i can go to 3rd (104mph) but dont usually drop 3 gears. should i go for a 6 to 3 shift? $0.02 appreciated

I don't recall ever dropping from 6th to 3rd. At highway speed, there's plenty of passing power when you drop to 4th...

At 70ish, I've done both, but normally into 4th. If you go into 3rd, just be sure to get those revs up there to match the tranny speed.

Never have I considered that unless my life is on the line and I'm being chased.
