Slight throttle over run since service.

Slight throttle over run since service.
Noticed last night while rolling at about 10-20 mph when "blipping" the throttle from idle to about 2,000 rpm it would rev. up as expected then drop very slightly and rev up about 3-400 rpms before settling back to idle. I know it's not an old style throttle cable, so I know it's not sticking, is this normal?
(Second part of story and another question related to mufflers)
I first noticed this throttle over run when demonstrating my muffler sound for my Independent. When I bought the car the left Dansk muffler had a loose baffle and rattled. The car Bill of Sale stated I would be getting new Dansk mufflers as they shouldn't of failed. After months of dealing with the Independent and being told they were shipping from "Germany" like that's some far away place with out FedEx or shipping tracking numbers the Independent opened the muffler up and welded the stainless baffle back in place... no more rattle. Kind of thought the farty noise at start up would also go away but didn't. Love the sound of high revs. so would not want to change that sound. Is the VW farty sound at low rpms normal for Dansk mufflers with FabSpeed headers?
Thank you all!

This is somewhat normal and anytime we do headers or a more aggressive system on early 911, it does make that low babble sound in low RPM, so i wouldn't worry about. Its just the sound of the exhaust together with the headers.
thanks
thanks

Thank you Alex! I like your reference to "low babble" a little better than my description. So kind of the price I pay for the beautiful exhaust note at higher RPM's then. I'm not buying, but even if I changed to Fabspeed mufflers you wouldn't suggest this low RPM babble would go away?

Back to you Alex, others might appreciate hearing as well. With my Fabspeed headers what have you dyno'd the HP increase. I was told a fairly large number when I bought the car, it came with the upgrades. But reading "The Complete 996 Guide" the author significantly down plays HP increases for aftermarket intakes, and exhaust. Is he wrong? They stated the cars come from the factory quite highly tuned so there isn't a lot to be gained. Your thoughts.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

And Fabspeed gives great service, too. (wish I could say that about all the sponsors.)

Okay Divot, that's what I wanted to hear! Again, wouldn't change a thing about the beautiful exhaust note at high revs. I'll now be able to appreciate the start up sound. Always had a fear if I started my car in a parking lot with someone from this forum they'd say something like "nice car, what's wrong with your exhaust". Never doubted and wouldn't care what anyone says about the high RPM roar as that's perfect for me. Thanks for the response I'll enjoy the startup and low end babble all the more.
