What is difference between strut and shock??? My 2001 C2 has play in one side only. Garage stated strut should be replaced due to excessive play? Costs of new struts and cost to install?? I am not a DIY (too old to get dirty)

I just saw this post. Anyone in need for a complete set (shocks, springs and sway bars) for a C2 MK1 let me know. I took mine around 60k mile range to upgrade to RoWs. NO issues or leaks whatsoever when I took them off.
