Default Slightly wider 18" tires

Has anyone successfully fitted 235-40/18 and 275-35/18 tires on the standard 2000 18" rims?

The reason I ask is the specific model tires I'm looking at are new and not yet available at the 265-35/18 size but 275-25/18 is listed, so I thought to go up 10mm both front and back at the same time to get a bit more contact surface area.

TIA.

I have 235-40/18's on my 18 x 7.5" front rims. Look good, slight sidewall bulge.

I have 265-35/18 on the rear 18 x 10" but many recommend wider, 285 even 295. I will definitely go wider (285) in the rears when the time comes.

Go to go 265 on the rear otherwise aspect ratio will be off. 275 will be too tall.

It isn't a problem fit. 235 fits all but the most slammed cars. 275 is a good fit too. If you have an 11" back rim, a 275 minimum will be needed. Watch your OD's if AWD.

Please call me if I can help.
