No, the connection hoses are flexible enough to move the condenser out of the way enough to clean between.

@Billboy,
That's about how mine looked. The car is an '01 with 77K miles. They probably were never cleaned. I also should note that in addition to the debris between the condenser and radiator, there was a lot of dirt in between the fins.

Yes I noticed that too - another good reason to take everything apart and clean it out with a blast of a hose.

+1000 I thought I could get away with just cleaning the front of the condenser, living in CA, but no the radiators were jammed too.
