Default ac condensor fans not working

It's more complicated than I thought, I picked up a 1999 c4 with a 2004 s motor swapped in. Was aware of a few issues with communication, the temp gauge and the mpg but everything else was ok. The ac was having trouble keeping up with the heat and I thought expansion valve was bad because of funny hissing noise. Turns out the condense fans are not kicking on when the ac goes on and mechanic said high side pressure was too high and the condensors were real hot.

The real problem is he is afraid to touch it because it could be a never ending battle of tracing out the issue.

My question would be am I better off bring it back to the original mechanic that did the swap or am I just wasting time. Worse case, can I just wire in a switch and toggle them on?

It's ridiculously hot and I don't like driving the wrangle any more than I have too.

You probably need new fan resistors. It's a pretty common failure. I just had my actual fans replaced, but that's a more expensive proposition.

If the fans are wired in correctly there is a "Hack" that you can do at the relays if you want the high speed to come on with the low speed. search "fan hack"
Yours sound like they are not coming on low or high speed. There have been instances where both fans have failed. Probably one went and it was not noticed until the second one failed. First thing to do is check the fans to see if they work at all. Hot wire them at the fan or measure resistance or....
Are the fuses good? This is for 2003 fuse assignments:

This just happened to me. Both fans failed. My relays were still good, but they were replaced with the new fans (they come as a kit).

Herte is one with pics. I think it is on a Boxster. The early Boxsters and 996 are pretty much the same.
