The LSD made the decision easy for me. I bought the car for autox so getting a car without an LSD was just silly. It does make a difference coming out of the corners! I don't particularly care for GT Silver as my BMW is also silver but the turbo bumper is awesome.
Yes,I love hips. Added weight and complexity. Hard to find w/leather interior,x-51,etc. The funny thing is I don't care for silver cars,go figure.
Full leather was standard on all 996 C4S'...X51 was an expensive option so it's fairly rare to find it on ANY 996, except the 40th as it was part of the features on it.
I definitely see the appeal for the wide body look, but then I'm not a fan of the tail lights extended across the whole back of the car.
Drove a C4S when test driving cars with my dad and he ended up buying a 40th. Have to say I like the purest feel of RWD and was annoyed that the C4S just tended to understeer. But everyone has their preference.
C4S looks better but I'd go for the 40th anniversary, unless you really need 4WD. 345HP in a lighter car, makes it feel much sportier, quicker, etc. The 40th is a great car. Nav may be dated but works fine. The LSD, lowered suspension, nice interior, luggage, etc., make it a very nice car.
