Moldy smell when I turn on the car and the air starts blowing
It disappears after abour 30-60 seconds as the air keeps blowing throught the system. Is there some air filter that can get moldy?
Thanks!

Also make sure your AC condensation drain is clear, and properly draining out the bottom of your car.
Yes, your car has a cabin air filter:

And you may actually have a bigger issue with actual mold in the HVAC system. This may require a professional cleaning process.

My car has just started to do this also, only for the first 5 secs or so.
I've read there's a mold spray you can put into the cabin filter and run the A/C for a while to run in through.
No HTwo O where would you find the AC condenser to check if it's clear?

I have seen this happening in quite new cars like audi a4 and lexus as well. I always wondered what got this started, but once it is there, it stays.. only 2 or 3 first minutes but not pleasant.

Try this:
When you arrive to destination, don't turn the engine off when the AC is "on".
Turn the AC "off" first, but keep the fan blowing air for 30 seconds while the AC is off, then shut the engine.
You will feel some humidity on the air vents in the dash. This means that less humidity is sitting in the system and less odors the next time you start the car and use the AC.

yukk... I would hate that
my car smells like oil and gas mixed - its that "old Porsche" smell - seems to me if you spritz a little fuel oil mix into the vents you could try and get some of that

Can someone go look at the part number on the cover that goes over the cabin filter. I cannot believe mine is missing.
