Shucks! Need new suspension
Well one strut had a failure today while at the dealer. It's an RoW M030 suspension, so it's time to make a move up. Looking for opinions (which one and why) for the following:
I do about 2-3 DEs per year normally and spirited street driving on occasion. Adjustability is not critical, but a nice to have. This year DEs are getting reduced due to things like this failure.
X74 for $1,800 from Gert
PSS9 for $2,325
PSS10 for $2,655
KW Variant 1 for $2,100
H&R RSS Clubsport for $1,900
H&R Street for $1,800
Used Stance GR+ for $900 (300 miles on them from Rennlister)
Also, what's the difference in features, quality, etc. between the Bilstein 9 and 10?

Tough call between the X74 and PSS10s. Money sounds tight, based on your other thread, so I voted X74... BUT if roads are rough in Cleveland, then I'd splurge a little with the adjustable PSS10s and consider it a long term 'investment.'

pss9 for 2300? WTF, I got mine at 1800 in 2006......
Anyway.... since Ive been driving across Canada..... the adjustables' are perfect for double duty track and street.... X74 is a nice plug and play option.

I voted for X74. If and when I upgrade the suspension for the C4S, I plan to go with the X73.

H&R Street, highly adjustable for ride height. Can lower your car more than with the PSS9/10. The shocks are tuned so the dampening should match the spring rates. Lower will enhance handling and the street tuning should work well for DEs I'd imagine.

is there a button for Hollow 30 mm Bars?
on a serious note:
when I was researching mine and I spent a great amount of time doing it I had an epiphany...ROW is nearly the same as US stock. <flame suit on> seriusly its not enough differant to go thru all the work and gain some minimal % over US stock. I read a lot of reports and spring rate charts and comparisisons. I decided there was no way I would spend 80% of the money and get 5% better set up.
therefore i opted to search for take off GT3 set up or PSS9's with an X74 being the same setup without the need to make changes at that time I didnt understand anyhow.
I have been an advocate of the X74 for a long time and can honestly say everyone that has opted to get them has been very happy... sure there are lots of people saying its too rough, or its too low or whatever, once on the car NO ONE has ever said they didnt like them
so I think you should get the H&R's

if you're happy with your ride height, you could also just get koni yellows. they're adjustable. and it's tons cheaper than those options.
i'd be surprised if that shock didn't affect your impression of the sumis.

Since budget is an issue and your weren't planning on replacing the suspension, at all until the dealer notified you, AND since this needs to be done so you can enjoy driving your car, check out the FS threads, I just saw an individual selling a full set of "Stance GR" coilovers, offering them for $995.00 shipped. There were pix and they looked real clean. I will assume that your current sway bars are just fine, whethter RoW or X74 or Touring.....especially since you are not doing a lot of track time. All of your choices are good ones, but considerably more money....just a suggestion to try to save you a few bucks so you can alsos get your new AD08's.

I am an advocate of the X74. I live in Canada - road are even crappier here and have been quite impressed with ride quality and handling improvement.
The only element that I would flag is the fact that you have to be really careful as it does lower the car substantially and you can easily scrape the front lip on driveway entrances and speedbumps.
PM me if you want to discuss.

X74. In my book, it's the best bang for the buck, and since it's not adjustable, you put it on and enjoy!
(And, like Ed said, I have yet to hear anyone say they are unhappy with the X74... and can't say that about some of the others.)
*edit* - I guess 100plus proves me wrong!

You can't get x74 right now.
I went with RSS Club Sport and couldn't be happier. Great on the street and AWESOME at the track. IMO the pss9/10 are too soft for the track.
Call Kellen at porsche of bedford (soon to be beachwood) if you need the same opinion and since you are local you're welcome to check out my setup.

I'm sure y'all know how I feel. I went through this exercise 2 years ago. The X74 just transformed the car. Lower? Yup! Watch where you drive that 's all. Get the engine protection plate and........RS mounts. Besides...women have disrobing at every street corner since I put it on. Ok....maybe I fibb'd, the car isn't that low.
