Help! My skirt Doesn't Fit
After 3 years of sitting on my shelves, I am finally installing my OEM aerokit. I went to the paint shop to test fit the parts and the side skirts were over two inches too long. They came from DPS (who is no longer in business) and they have a 986 prefix on the part number, instead of a 996 prefix. My local dealer did not have the part number on their computer. Do I have Boxter side skirts? Can they be cut to fit? Where do I buy the correct skirts? Thanks.

Sorry to hear but your are going to have to fix your own skirt . if you cannot sell then, yes the body shop should know how to shorten them if they can't try someone else it shouldn't be much. I built my own and they where to long I just cut the rear off to fit the rear wheel well/ modified a little and refastened. They make epoxies for just this purpose for fiberglass or ABS.
