I believe that techart makes LED DRLs for the 996 that function the same way as OEM lights (when you activate the turn signal, the LED on that side goes off, and they don't come on when the headlights are on). I think they are pretty expensive though...

I like the look....now ad some scoops on the air deflector vanes of the bumper, like the GT3 RS 4.0....an I'd be sold.

LOL....I meant....add the air deflector scoops on the bumper...no scoops! haha

Well, after a couple of years of looking for DRLs that would look good on my MKi C2 Cab, I finally added these. I ordered several sets over the years and returned them all. I ended up fabricating my own brackets out of aluminum. The lights are recessed in the grill and are barely noticeable when off. This picture doesn't do them justice as they are very bright, like those on new Porsches and Mercedes. I'm very happy with the look and I don't think they look tacked on.

Where did you end up wiring these from? I bought the wicked 997 conversion bumper with the OEM 997 LEDs in it. So I have to figure out where to wire these off of.
