Default Wheel Offset Question

18 inch wheels

Front 8.5

Rear 10

What offsets will work?

TIA! I used the search and gave myself a headache without clarifying what I need.

I have a line on a nice set of used wheels and want to see if they will work.

!!! For the rear, be careful, (it costed me a set, that still sleep in the garege): it depends if it is a narrow or a wide body.

I'm lowered on H&Rs
current front 8.5 52mm....I hate it....40mm to be flush
rears are 10 54mm....it's pretty good....I could go a couple mm's more though

With those widths, as low as 40 front and 52 rear.

Cheers

Keep in mind that the higher the offset number the farther in the wheels sit. So if you get a set that have too high an offset you can use spaces to move them out. With too low an offset there is really nothing to be done to move them in. The width of the time and the size/profile of the tire also matters.
